Today is a good day to snuggle down inside, I went out to a face painting gig earlier today & painted some pretty little fairy faces, then cam e in out of the rain & decided to have a play on photoshop.
I haven't scrapped many photos this year, and this layout started out being an Easter one of Ravey painted as a bunny, but the papers were too girly, so I changed the photo and ended up with this:
It's based on a sketch from pagemaps.com, which is a great resource when you need a little creative boost :)
This layout used Carina Gardener's Pretty Posy kit from JessicaSprague.com.
Here's the photo of my little bunny:
He's such a cutie!!
I managed to finish another layout that I started a while ago - this one was from Misty's 21st back in March, it was heap of fun. Wayne & I did the catering & I made some mustaches on a stick for fun photos & we rustled up some props for photos - good times!
This layout uses another free kit from EveryDayMomIdeas.com, this one is Adolescent Antics, along with some other bits & bobs.
I must say Digi Scrapping is quite fun & it's very tidy :o)
My plan is to make enough layouts this year to create a photo book - hopefully one for each of the kids.
It feels good to be creating again.
Oh, I never did get to make my soap on Friday, Wayne ended up taking me out for lunch & then I got distracted, but I definitely need to get a shuffle on so that the soap has time to cure before I send it off....tomorrow I'll get my soaping gear out for sure!

Halfway Through 2011
I've been inspired to get back into blogging by the kids & their classroom blogs, so here we go!
In May, Taiga started netball & her first game was against Shelly Park, and she had to mark Lexi - how adorable!!!
So far their team (Sunnyhills) haven't lost a game, which I think is pretty fantastic!! Ravey enjoys coming along to the games because he gets to have a corn dog or hot chips & next game Nanny & Poppy are coming to watch - YAY!
I've been doing a fair bit of reading lately & can recommend Nora Roberts for some pretty cool adventure/romance series - I started with Blood Brothers just before Christmas & got totally hooked - thank goodness for the library!!
I have also ventured into digital scrapbooking, so here's some samples:
This was made with the L'il Monsters free kit from everdaymomideas.com.
This one was made with another free kit, from shabbyprincess.com -I think it's called vintage floral. There was a beginners instructional video using this kit, so I just followed that to get the hang of digi scrapping....it's a very tidy hobby LOL.
Well, Wayno has the day off tomorrow & has promised to help me make some soap for a soap swap I'm in - it's an Alice in Wonderland theme & I'm planning to try my hand at a rose shampoo bar - I've been reading some Julie Garwood books, which are set in the 1100's& 1200's & she always says that the heroine smells of rose & well, we all know about Alice in the rose garden - so I'm feeling inspired!
I can't wait!
